RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Run Richmond 16.19 , a running race that commemorates African American history, will cause multiple roads to close and “no parking” zones in the city on Saturday.
The south side of East Canal Street between South 7th and 8th streets will be a “no parking” zone going into effect from noon to 3 p.m. on both Friday, Sept. 20, and Saturday, Sept. 21, to allow for event equipment to be loaded, the Richmond Police Department said.
The following locations will have “no parking” zones, which will be in effect from midnight to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 21, according to police:
- Both sides of Brook Road between West Leigh and North Adams streets
- Both sides of North Adams Street between West Broad and Leigh streets
- Pulliam Street/location off North Adams Street (Abner Clay Park)
- Both sides of East Byrd Sreet between South 4th and 9th streets
- Both sides of West Marshall Street between North Jefferson and North 3rd streets
- Both sides of East Grace Street between North 3rd and 4th streets
- Both sides of North 2nd Street between East Broad and Marshall streets
- Both sides of 3rd Street between East Clay and Grace streets
- Both sides of 5th Street between East Franklin and Tredegar streets
- Both sides of North 6th Street between East Cary and Canal streets
- Both sides of North 9th Street between East Cary and Main streets
- East side of South 8th Street between East Franklin and Canal streets
- South side of East Canal Street between South 5th and 7th streets
- Both sides of 10th Street between Bank and East Cary streets
- Both sides of 12th Street between East Main and Cary streets
- Both sides of East Main Street between 9th and 22nd streets
- Both sides of East Franklin Street between North 18th and Ambler streets
- Both sides of Ambler Street between East Franklin and Grace streets
- Both sides of North 17th Street between East Franklin and Broad streets
- Both sides of North 18th Street between East Franklin and Broad streets
- Both sides of North 19th Street between East Franklin and Broad streets
