HOPEWELL, Va. (WRIC) — A man in critical but stable condition was rescued from the Appomattox River on Saturday after Hopewell fire crews deployed a drone and additional crews from a nearby county.
On Saturday, April 25, the Hopewell Emergency Communications Center was called to 205 Appomattox St. after receiving a 911 call reporting that a man had entered the water and had not resurfaced at City Park.
