High schooler Zion Terry honored at school prom after death in domestic shooting

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — A John Marshall High School senior was honored at the school prom on Saturday after a domestic shooting left him and his sister dead and their mother injured a few days ago.

Eighteen-year-old Zion Terry was shot and killed by 41-year-old Levy Nelson in Richmond’s Highland Park neighborhood on Tuesday. Terry’s 14-year-old sister and their 38-year-old mother, Tiffany, were also shot and seriously injured. Police said Nelson is the girl’s father and was in a relationship with their mother.

Richmond Police said on Saturday that the teen girl had died after suffering life-threatening injuries. Their mother’s injuries were not considered life-threatening and her condition has stabilized…
