Fontana approves 265-unit condominium development

The Fontana Planning Commission recently approved plans for a 265-unit condominium complex at the corner of Foothill Boulevard and Maple Avenue. The project includes six multi-family residential buildings, associated site improvements, and various community amenities.

“The proposed site is physically suitable in size and shape to support the development of the proposed complex,” the staff report stated. “Applicable building codes, zoning codes and fire codes and standards will be met and make for a safe, attractive, and well-designed project.”

The applicant for the housing development is Diversified Pacific Investment Group, LLC, seeking to establish a condominium map for the project and reduce the required landscape setback along Barbee Street from 5 to 2 feet to accommodate an additional 6 feet of right-of-way. According to the staff report, Barbee Street requires a 36-foot-wide roadway, compared with the current width of 30 feet.
