LOS ANGELES – Waymo is bringing a new driverless vehicle to Los Angeles as the company pushes deeper into Southern California, even as its rapid expansion continues to draw complaints from residents and safety regulators.
Waymo described the Ojai as a “rider-first” vehicle designed specifically for fully autonomous ride-hailing, with elevator-like doors, a completely flat floor, and three large LED screens that allow passengers to adjust ride settings such as temperature and entertainment.
