Barstow Police Arrest Two Suspects In Phelan Carjacking Investigation

BARSTOW, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A 19-year-old Phelan woman and a 28-year-old Fontana man were arrested in connection with a carjacking that occurred in Phelan after Barstow Police officers located the stolen vehicle through an Automated License Plate Reader (ALPR) alert.

On Saturday, June 13, 2026, at approximately 10:16 p.m., officers responded to an ALPR notification indicating a felony vehicle involved in a carjacking earlier that day in Phelan had entered the city. The vehicle was described as a gray 2014 Scion tC.

Officers located the vehicle in the 200 block of North Yucca Avenue and attempted a traffic stop. The driver failed to yield and fled toward Riverside Drive. Once on Riverside Drive, the vehicle stopped and both occupants exited and ran from officers…
