Work starts on homeless navigation center

Construction is underway on the West End Regional Navigation Center in Fontana, a temporary stopping point that will help homeless people in western San Bernardino County.

A warehouse at 11109 Jasmine St. is being converted into a 200-bed facility that will help people living on the streets connect with social services, including permanent healthcare and permanent housing, according to a statement on the city’s website.
