April 24, 2026, Armenian students across Southern California gathered not in classrooms, but in remembrance. Schools including AGBU Manoogian-Demirdjian School, Rose and Alex Pilibos Armenian School, and Ferrahian High School united with a shared purpose: to honor the memory of the 1.5 million Armenians lost during the events of 1915.
Students, teachers, and families traveled together to the Armenian Genocide Memorial in Montebello, a place that has become sacred ground for Armenian Americans. The memorial stands not only as a monument of grief, but also as a symbol of survival, identity, and unity.
