The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has awarded three additional grants to support health centers in Virginia’s Ninth District. The funding breakdown includes:
- $1,095,625 to Free Clinic of the New River Valley, Inc. (based in Christiansburg, Virginia)
- $900,172 to Bland County Medical Clinic Inc. (based in Bastian, Virginia)
- $873,541 to Martinsville Henry County Coalition for Health and Wellness (based in Martinsville, Virginia)
In response to these grant notices, U.S. Congressman Morgan Griffith (R-VA) issued the following statement:
