EXCLUSIVE: Baby giraffes found safe after disappearing from Natural Bridge Zoo

ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ) – Two giraffe calves have been found and are safe after disappearing from Natural Bridge Zoo more than a year ago. The Office of the Attorney General of Virginia shared that information exclusively with WDBJ7 Monday evening.

The Office of the Attorney General did not share specifics on how it found the pair, but said the missing calves are now with a professional facility specializing in giraffe care.

The giraffes disappeared in 2025 and the co-owner of Natural Bridge Zoo Gretchen Mogensen was ordered to serve a 100-day jail sentence for refusing to explain to the court what happened to the giraffes or hand them over…
