RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — 8News got the chance to chat with some of the Miss Virginia candidates on Tuesday as they prepare for the competition set to happen later this month.
8News anchors Delaney Hall and Rolynn Wilson were joined by Miss Greater Richmond Karlee Angel and Miss Chesterfield County Reice Hedrick to talk about how community service factors into their roles.
“My community service initiative is called Rescue Angels, and it is expanding the access to the healing power of the human-animal bond, and through my work with school visits and shelter visits, I’ve seen firsthand how animals reduce stress, loneliness and help us live healthier lifestyles, so I can’t wait to expand on that,” Angel said…
