FLOYD, Va. (WFXR) – Derek Wall opened The Buffalo Hemp Company in 2019, and currently owns two stores in Roanoke and Floyd.
He said it’s been a struggle for several years to make a profit.
“It takes a while to manufacture, to research, get it done and develop it, and then you get it out on the line and seven months later, it’s illegal or you have to tweak it,” Wall said. “It really makes it hard to navigate an industry when you don’t have certainty year to year on how that product line is going to be treated by the government.”…
