A local store will be offering its customers an opportunity to support the community while they shop.
Downtown Roanoke’s Mast General Store is celebrating its annual “Friends Day” next Saturday. On Friends Day, Mast General Store will be donating 10% of its sales to the Friends of the Blue Ridge – a non-profit organization aimed at preserving the ecology and quality of life in communities throughout the Blue Ridge.
Laura Pell, Marketing and Communications Coordinator at Mast General Store, says the company raises thousands of dollars for the non-profit each year, and those funds have had a real impact on the Roanoke Valley,”Their Roanoke Valley chapter has funded projects at Explore Park, they’ve created pollinator gardens at a local camp, they’ve installed bike racks in the Roanoke Valley, and so many more cool projects in the area.”…
