ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR)- The Roanoke City Council approved the purchase of 236 acres of property formerly associated with the Ole Monterey Golf course.
The purchase price- $8 million.
City officials said there are several potential uses for the land, including:
- Public school campus
- Housing development
- Parks and recreation facilities
- Expansion of the Roanoke Center for Industry and Technology to support manufacturing and industrial development
