BEDFORD COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) – The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) said maintenance is a year-round responsibility to keep Virginia’s transportation system safe and reliable.
No matter how hot or cold it is, if there’s a job to be done, VDOT will do it.
“They were talking about it was so hot the past couple of weeks, and then you add the asphalt on top of it,” VDOT spokesperson Jenna Zibton said. “They’re out here in the heat making sure our roads are safe, so the work that our maintenance crews do, they take very seriously.”…
