ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ) – Misdemeanor charges have been dropped against the manager of Roanoke dog kennel City Dogs Boarding and Playcare, with code violations having been brought into compliance, according to the Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office.
The five charges, now dropped, were against Manager Kevin Ketcham, regarding not giving veterinary care, inadequate animal care and cruelty to animals.
In July 2026, the Roanoke City Animal Protection Unit responded to a report of dogs suffering heat distress at the kennel on Norfolk Avenue SW.
