Roanoke officer justified in shooting of man using car against police, prosecutor rules

ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ) – An officer who shot a man accused of trying to use a car to hurt police in May was justified and acting in self-defense, according to a letter obtained by WDBJ7.

Roanoke Commonwealth’s Attorney John M. McNeil, Jr. made that ruling in the following letter:
