ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ) – Western Virginia Water Authority met Thursday to review long-term water supply projections for the Roanoke Valley.
Officials looked at data dating back to 2010 to assess future demand and see if the region still needs to tap into new water sources down the road.
“The most current version of those are a 2010 study with some additional work done in 2014,” said Water Authority Executive Director Michael McEvoy. “And again, those predicted that the Roanoke Valley would be a new water source by 2060. And I’m happy to report that we are under those projections, so that’s kind of good.”…
