SALEM, Va. (WDBJ) – Southwest Virginia Pride brought people together at the Salem Civic Center to celebrate and discuss a constitutional amendment on the November ballot that would remove Virginia’s ban on same-sex marriage.
Virginia’s Constitution currently prohibits same-sex marriage, though the ban is not enforceable unless the U.S. Supreme Court overturns its 2015 ruling legalizing same-sex marriage.
