ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) – Roanoke County Fire and Rescue extinguished a house fire that left two people and one dog displaced in the Hollins area.
On May 3 at 6:25 p.m., Roanoke County Fire and Rescue (RCFR) responded to the 5700 block ofDeputy Drive for multiple reports of a residential structure fire. This comes hours after crews responded to a fire in the Glenvar area.
RCFR says the first units to respond saw a plume of black smoke while driving to the fire, prompting crews to mark the incident as a working fire at 6:29 p.m. Upon arrival, firefighters saw the house fully engulfed in flames.
