Over the last couple of weeks, Virginia Tech football coach James Franklin has been on a recruiting heater on the offensive side of the ball. The Hokies’ new coach has recently secured two running backs in the Class of 2027, two wide receivers, and a tight end.
The two running backs who are committed are Kelvin Morrison from Pennsylavania and Stanley Smart from Georgia. This season, the Hokies have Messiah Mickens in the running back room as a freshman and will hopefully be in Blacksburg when the commits join and sign. According to Rivals, Virginia Tech is trending for another Class of 2027 running back, this one from Texas.

Four-star running back Javian Jones-Priest from Arlington (Texas) Martin took a visit to Blacksburg, and it appears that Virginia Tech and Franklin made an impression on the 5-foot-10, 186-pound back.
