Hasim ‘The Rock’ Rahman announces comeback fight in Rochester

He’s known as “The Rock” in the boxing world. Now, former two-time heavyweight champion Hasim Rahman has announced he is making a comeback to the sport.

Rahman, 53, retired from boxing in 2014 after a 20-year career that included a shocking upset in 2001 in which he knocked out Lennox Lewis.

During a news conference on Wednesday at The Strathallan hotel in Rochester, Rahman announced his quest to become the oldest heavyweight champion. That title is currently held by George Foreman, who defeated a 26-year-old Michael Moorer at the age of 45 in 1994…
