ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Smoothie King has opened its first Penfield location, with two more Rochester-area stores planned as part of a three-location development agreement.
The new shop opened Saturday at 2150 Fairport Nine Mile Point Road, between Panera Bread and Burger King. It is owned and operated by Mohammed Waqas Akram, a New York native with a background in retail ownership and commercial real estate.
Akram said he is also looking for potential locations in Henrietta and Greece, although opening dates and specific addresses have not been announced.
