ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Two people were injured in two separate shootings on Wednesday morning, both around Monroe Avenue.
Rochester Police say the first shooting happened just after 12:30 a.m. on Woodlawn Street off Monroe Avenue. Officers found the victim, 42, with at least one gunshot wound. An ambulance rushed him to the hospital, and he is expected to survive.
While investigating that shooting, officers said they heard at least one shot fired nearby around 1:20 a.m. Officers rushed to Monroe Avenue and learned that a private car was taking a man, 36, to the hospital to treat an upper-body gunshot wound.
