ROCHESTER, N.Y. — FOMO Boutique reopened on Saturday, just over three weeks after thieves broke in and stole more than $160,000 worth of designer items.
News10NBC’s Declan Stablow spoke with owners Krista Hanny and Troy Bennett, who said it feels good to be back open but also a little bit weird. They said they’ve had a lot of community support, but Bennett said after the burglary, seeing the store empty became the new normal.
Security footage from the night of the burglary shows the thieves leaving FOMO with garbage cans. They left the store shelves empty.
On Saturday, those shelves are once again filled up with designer handbags, shoes and more. The owners said they were able to build back their stock thanks to people coming in to sell old items.
