HENRIETTA, N.Y. — Triple-A says the average cost of diesel in New York State is $6.26 a gallon, up from under $4 this time last year.
News10NBC’s Garrett Chan spoke with a local trucking company about how rising diesel prices impact its bottom line and how those costs get passed down to consumers. At the Sunoco gas station on West Henrietta Road in Henrietta, diesel is $6.49 a gallon.
“We got about 60 trucks in our fleet, some over the road close to call, some regional, some local. We haul perishables, dry plastics, metals, you know, anything that goes into box trailers,” Alex Voronin said.
