Man pistol-whipped on Manila Street, Rochester police say

Rochester, N.Y. — An investigation is underway after a man was pistol-whipped early Friday on the city’s west side, according to the Rochester Police Department.

Police said they responded to Manila Street near Magnolia Street around 1 a.m. after receiving a report that the suspect had pistol-whipped another man, chased him down the street and disappeared into a home. Officers surrounded the home but did not find the man.
