Waterview Heights closure delayed by nursing home crisis

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Some Waterview Heights residents are still searching for a new place to call home after health officials shut it down last month. The facility was originally scheduled to close several days ago, but it can’t close its doors until every resident has a plan in place.

Although the future of Waterview is clear, its closure remains in limbo. A spokesperson for Senior Care Authority in Rochester tells me the city’s nursing home crisis is the main factor.
