ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A portion of Lake Avenue in Rochester was closed for hours Thursday as police investigated a reported armed robbery.
According to the Rochester Police Department, officers were called to the area around 4:30 p.m. A 21-year-old man told officers at least one person pointed a gun at him and demanded money.
Investigators said they were led to believe the suspect was inside a home, so they surrounded the residence. When they were not able to make contact with anyone inside, they called in the SWAT team to search the home.
No one was taken into custody.
