Officer struck by vehicle during attempted arrest in Rochester

Rochester, N.Y. — An officer for the Rochester Police Department was struck by a vehicle during an attempted arrest Tuesday afternoon in the city’s Upper Falls neighborhood.

Officers responded around 12:30 p.m. to the area of Upper Falls Boulevard and Thomas Street for a reported family trouble, according to police. Officers learned the suspect, Antonio Poole, 36, pushed a female victim to the ground and hurt her head during a domestic dispute.
