‘They need to get compensated ASAP’: Boxers, representatives say they haven’t been paid after Boxing Extravaganza

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Boxers, referees and others who participated at last weekend’s Boxing Extravaganza at the Blue Cross Arena are still waiting for their paychecks.

News10NBC’s Garrett Chan spoke with boxers and their representatives who said everything about the event was poorly planned. Several boxers and managers said it’s a gut punch that they’re not getting compensated for something they love doing and put aside much of their lives to prepare for last weekend’s event.

Lavias Williams was in the co-main event match at the Boxing Extravaganza, but it was removed from the match card. He said he’s been in the sport for a long time and fought two world champions…
