Puppy revived after kitchen fire damages Irondequoit home

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Firefighters rescued a puppy found unconscious inside an Irondequoit home after a kitchen fire broke out Wednesday evening, according to the Irondequoit Fire District.

Crews responded just before 5:30 p.m. to a reported house fire with help from the St. Paul, Ridge Road and Point Pleasant fire departments. When firefighters arrived, they found smoke coming from a two-story home and confirmed a working fire.

Firefighters located the flames in the kitchen and knocked the fire down while crews searched the home to make sure everyone was out safely…
