GREECE, N.Y. — Two people have died following a house fire Saturday morning in the Town of Greece, leaving one other person critically injured.
The Barnard Fire District says crews were called to a home on Bancroft Drive just after 9 a.m. after receiving a 911 report of a fire. The first unit arrived within minutes and confirmed a working fire in a two-story home, with flames visible on both floors.
While responding, crews from Barnard, Ridge Road and North Greece Fire Districts were told three people were trapped inside. Firefighters immediately began rescue operations and searched the home.
Crews found two victims on the second floor and removed them from the structure. Additional agencies including Ridge Road, North Greece, Lake Shore, St. Paul, Irondequoit and Henrietta fire districts were called in to assist…
