Walk to support those living with Heterotaxy syndrome

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – A walk will be held Sunday morning in Rochester to honor those living with Heterotaxy. The Seviyn Strong Heterotaxy Awareness Walk will take place at the Roundhouse Shelter at Genesee Valley Park at 9:30 a.m. Registration will begin at 9 a.m.

Hosted by Dolah Me After Care (DMAC), the walk will bring families, advocates, and community members together to raise awareness about heterotaxy which is a rare congenital condition that affects the development of internal organs and often requires long-term medical care.

The walk will highlight the importance community support has on families navigating these complex journeys. Participants will be able to take part in fun activities and learn more about heterotaxy after the walk until around 1:30 p.m…
