CHERRY VALLEY — Work has begun to demolish the former Sweet Basil Cafe, the first step toward building a new subscription-based car wash at the corner of Harrison Avenue and Perryville Road.
Northern Illinois Service Co. began demolition on Tuesday. Once the site is cleared, it’s estimated to take roughly 10 months for construction of a new Club Car Wash, according to information previously provided by Village Administrator Jim Claeyssen.
