ROCKFORD — Several Rockford-area Beef-a-Roo locations closed Wednesday or shifted to drive-thru service only as the company shuttered several locations across the country.
The Northwoods Beef-a-Roo, 4601 Adamson Lane in Machesney Park, closed at 4 p.m. on Wednesday. The firehouse Beef-a-Roo, 6116 N. Second St. in Loves Park, and the 2538 Auburn St. location were also closed early Wednesday evening after previously being drive-thru only. A sign on the Loves Park location indicates that it would only be for Wednesday, July 1.
Restaurants on Lexus Drive, Riverside Boulevard in Loves Park, and South Alpine Road had all switched to drive-thru only…
