LOVES PARK, Ill. (WTVO) — Members of the Greater Park Action Committee (GPAC) senior community center are searching for a new location after Loves Park officials issued a notice of tenancy termination for their current home in the Loves Park City Hall. The center, which has operated in the building for 47 years, must vacate the premises by the end of September as the city plans to remodel the space for its Police Department.
The move has left center leaders scrambling to find a new gathering place for its members, who consider the center community a second family.
