Former Rochelle star high jumper Jack Tilton is looking to close out a big year with an international title.
Tilton, who won an Interstate 8 Conference title and took seventh at state in the high jump as a senior for the Hubs, soared over the bar set at 6-foot-9 to win the CCIW conference championship as a true freshman at Carthage College back in May. Now he’s headed to Lima, Peru, at the end of July to compete in the FISU World University Summer Games.
