Viral TikTok Slams Walmart for Gifting Employees 55-Cent Ramen for Coming in During Snowstorm

‘I would be so mad, I would clock out and go home,’ the woman in the viral TikTok says

A TikTok video that takes retail giant Walmart to task for rewarding employees with ramen noodles has gone viral, with many Walmart workers replying how the video made them feel.

Temperatures were well below freezing, as in -6 degrees Fahrenheit at times, in Rockford, Illinois , in January this year, and so, a Walmart there decided to give its employees a treat for making it in to work. Not only that, the retail giant’s store decided to post on social media about it.

“Brr, it’s cold outside. We appreciate our associates for braving the cold to be here. Stay warm with some ramen noodle soup and crackers,” the Walmart location wrote alongside a photo post that featured two employees standing in front of a couple of large boxes of noodles.

“I can’t believe that this is real…Walmart, you are a Fortune 500 company…at the top of the list. You are a multi-billion dollar corporation… And your way to show your appreciation is to give your employees 55-cent ramen?” Millzy asked a rhetorical question to the retail giant in her video.
