ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – Rockford residents rush to the heart of Rockford to celebrate the 50th anniversary of John’s Restaurant. Giovanni “John” Frisella and his wife Maria opened the doors of John’s Restaurant in 1974. For half a century, the two built a family, strong bonds and a restaurant beloved by the Rockford community.
