BELOIT, WIS. (WTVO) — Beloit Memorial High School has added a robotic welding cell to its program, a new tool funded by a $100,000 state grant and partnerships with local businesses. This addition is expected to significantly enhance training in a variety of trades for students.
The cell is designed to teach a variety of trades, including welding and manufacturing, preparing students for real-world applications. The school plans to use the equipment to produce everyday products for sale and to fulfill requests from local business partners.
“We’re actually going to be producing some products that we’re going to sell out to the market, such as a small grill or a smoker. We actually have an industry partner who wants us to actually make a part for one of their machines,” Career Technology Education Director Jeff Stenroos said…
