Belvidere man arrested after allegedly threatening Walmart employee with stun gun

BELVIDERE, Ill (WTVO) — The Belvidere Police Department arrested a man who allegedly threatened a Walmart employee with a stun gun on Monday April, 13.

According to police, officers responded to the Walmart at 2101 Gateway Center Drive for a reported retail theft. Authorities said 34-year-old Jesus Lopez-Ramirez brandished a stun gun when a Walmart associate attempted to stop him from leaving the store.

Officers later located Lopez-Ramirez near Genoa Road and I-90, where he was taken into custody and transported to the Belvidere Police Department…
