ROCKFORD, Ill (WTVO) — Rockford Police have identified a suspect in a 2021 shooting that left one person dead.
According to police, on Monday, July 12 2021, officers responded to reports of a shooting victim at a Walgreens located at 3336 11th Street around 8:10 p.m.
Officers found a vehicle in the parking lot with more than 40 bullet holes. 25-year-old Bennie Griffith was found unresponsive in the driver’s seat. Police said he was transported to a local hospital, where he later died…
