Controversial Confession: Rockford pastor reportedly resigns amid growing misconduct claims

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – Rockford police officers responded to a call from Calvary Chapel Rockford the morning of April 12. According to court documents, Pastor Charles Heffelfinger dialed 911, allegedly for a man who “threatened to shoot people of the church” returned to the property.

That Sunday service ended in handcuffs for two members: Leila and Archie Linn. Each are charged with assault to police officers following a back-and-forth with authorities.
