Rockford police arrest juvenile after Facebook Marketplace shooting

ROCKFORD, Ill (WTVO) — Rockford Police arrested a juvenile after he allegedly shot a victim during a Facebook Marketplace exchange on Saturday, April 11.

According to police, the officer responded to a Burger King located on 2911 Auburn Street to reports of a shooting. The victim left before the officers arrived, but later went to a local hospital with non life threatening injuries.

Police said the victim told officers he attempted to purchase a PlayStation 5 from an unknown person on Facebook Marketplace and agreed to meet at a Burger King. The victim reported giving the suspect money, but said the seller then refused to hand over the PS5…
