Rockford-area Beef-A-Roo locations suddenly close

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – Customers are confused after multiple Beef-A-Roo locations in the Rockford region shut down unexpectedly Monday.

Outside the restaurant on Auburn Street, an orange sign reporting the the business’ certificate of registration expired could be seen posted on the door. The sign bears the seal of the Illinois Department of Revenue.

According to the restaurant chain’s website, the following Rockford-area locations are listed as “closed now” and cannot accept online orders:

  • 6116 N. 2nd Street, Loves Park
  • 6380 E. Riverside Blvd., Loves Park
  • 4601 Adamson Lane, Machesney Park
  • 2538 Auburn Street, Rockford
  • 1680 N. Alpine Road, Rockford
  • 3401 S. Alpine Road, Rockford
  • 6593 Lexus Drive, Rockford
  • 5109 Rockrose Court, Roscoe

At the Auburn Street location, a sign was placed on the drive-thru window stating the restaurant is temporarily closed.

At the Beef-A-Roo location on Lexus Drive, a note apologized to customers for the inconvenience.
