Rockford woman found not guilty of murder in stabbing death of homeless man

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — A Rockford woman charged in the stabbing death of a 37-year-old man last fall has been found not guilty of murder, her family reported Wednesday.

Twenty-one-year-old Varianna Parsons stood trial this week on one count first-degree murder and one count of obstructing justice.

While the jury did not convict Parsons of murder, the panel did find her guilty of obstruction…
