BOONE COUNTY, Ill. (WIFR) – The Boone County Health Department, in partnership with Boone County Veterans Assistance Commission (VAC), has launched a campaign to collect household goods for veterans in the area.
Through May 31, the following items will be collected at drop box locations:
- Non-perishable food
- Manual can openers
- Coffee pots and supplies
- Paper towels, napkins and toilet paper
- Personal hygiene products
- Household cleaning supplies
- New socks for men and women

- Capron Village Hall, 250 W. Main St., Capron
- Coach’s Corner, 622 S. State St., Belvidere
- Countryside Pacemaker, 13517 IL Rte. 76, Poplar Grove
- Hamblock Ford, 1800 N. State St., Belvidere
- Midland States Bank, 600 S. State St., Belvidere
- UAW Local 1268, 1100 W. Crysler Dr., Belvidere
- VFW Post 1461, 1310 W. Lincoln Ave., Belvidere
- Walmart Supercenter, 2101 Gateway Dr., Belvidere
- Wild Cherries, 413 Southtowne Dr., Belvidere
