(FOX40.COM) – With a history dating back to the California Gold Rush, every building in Old Sacramento is rich in history, especially Pioneer Square. Beneath the streets of what visitors know today is The Bier Projekt.
Carlos and Marlene Morales are the duo behind Sacramento’s newest beer cellar. A chef of 15 years, Carlos dreamt of opening a space of his own someday. The plans were in motion late last year, and by January 2026 work was underway on The Bier Projekt.
