Defendant Convicted of Kidnapping Stranger
On July 10, 2026, Robert Lamont Brown was convicted by a jury of kidnapping.
Robert Lamont Brown and the victim were strangers to each other. On March 6, 2025, Brown walked up to the victim from behind, placed her in a headlock, and proceeded to drag her 30-50 feet to his idling vehicle. Once inside the vehicle, Brown got on top of the victim and began strangling her with both hands. After approximately 45 seconds, the victim was still conscious when Brown threw her out of the vehicle and sped off.
